HISTORY OF THE ORIGINS OF THE INTERNET
Internet was originally formed from the military environment, under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Defense project called the Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA). Computer network was first formed in 1969. At that time the only computer network consists of multiple computers connected by cables and hereinafter referred to as the ARPAnet. ARPAnet itself was built with the goal of making computer networks that spread out so the information is not focused on one point that is expected to be easily destroyed in the event of war. If one part of the network is disconnected, the path through the network are automatically transferred to other lines.
In 1977, more than 100 mini and mainframe computers are mostly located in the university connected to the ARPAnet. This computer links used by lecturers and students to share information. In the early 1980s, the ARPAnet was divided into two networks, the ARPAnet and MILNET. Milnet a military network, but both have a relationship that can be mutually connected. The interconnection network called the DARPA Internet, but later simply called the Internet. At first the Internet can only be accessed by mini and mainframe computers. After the opening of Usenet and BITNET services, the Internet can be accessed by the Personal Computer (PC). Now with the development of mobile device technology such as "phone", PDA, Tablet PCs and Smartphones, and even television and various other telecommunication devices, we can very easily connect to the Internet with a system called WAP (Wireless Application Protocol).
